A career built on experience, integrity, and a deep commitment to justice for all. Over 25 years serving Wisconsin's legal system — as a defense attorney, prosecutor, chief legal counsel, and judge.
Paul Dedinsky has spent his career in public service — as a criminal defense attorney, a prosecutor, a chief legal counsel, and a circuit court judge. Over more than 25 years in the law, he has tried over 50 jury trials and 100 court trials, authored Wisconsin's leading domestic violence prosecution manual, and trained thousands of educators and students in restorative justice.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Paul earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and his Ph.D. in Education & Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. He and his wife Lisa have three children.
From private practice to the DA's office to the bench — Paul has seen the justice system from every angle. That breadth of experience is rare and invaluable.
Judges must resist pressure and act with fairness. Paul has built a career on doing the right thing, not the easy thing.
Paul's service extends beyond the courtroom — through teaching, volunteer work, coaching, and decades of dedication to Wisconsin families.
